Timnas U23 Terancam Tidak Masuk Timnas Senior

PSSI memang hanya mengakui Indonesian Premier League sebagai kompetisi yang resmi dan tidak mengakui Indonesia Super League. Hal ini terkait tidak satunya suara soal statuta dan hasil kongres di Bali.  "Harus dari IPL, sudah aturannya begitu. Karena pemain timnas itu harus dari kompetisi resmi yang disetujui PSSI, bukan dari ISL," kata penanggung jawab timnas Bernhard Limbong, Kamis, (24/11).

Tentu ini akan membuat skuad Garuda Muda gagal masuk timnas karena mereka bermain di Liga Super Indonesia. Para pemain yang berlaga di Indonesia Super League antara lain Titus Bonai (Persipura), Patrich Wanggai (Persidafon), Lucas Mandowen (Persipura), Diego Michiels (Pelita Jaya), Hasyim Kipuw (Pelita Jaya), Ramdhani Lestaluhu (Pelita Jaya), dan Egi Melgiansyah (Pelita Jaya).

Sedangkan pemain yang dapat masuk timnas karena mereka bermain di klub yang berlaga di Indonesia Premier League adalah Andik Vermansyah (Persebaya), Ferdinan Sinaga (Semen Padang), dan Kurnia Meiga (Arema).

Limbong pun mengatakan tak masalah jika timnas nanti akan kehilangan para pemain hebat seperti Patrich Wanggai dan Titus Bonai karena ada ketentuan yang harus dipatuhi. Para pemain tersebut, kata Limbong, hanya menjadi korban dari keegoisan para pengurus klub. "Mereka hanya korban," katanya.

Jelas terlihat bahwa faktor kepentingan berada dibelakang ini semua. PSSI dan pengurus klub yang berseberangan adalah dua institusi yang sama-sama tidak bisa menyelesaikan pertauran secara bijak. Lagi-lagi pemain menjadi korban sebuah kebijakan yang harusnya dapat mengakomodasi kepentingan negara daripada mempertahankan egoisitas semata.

Indonesia VS LA Galaxy: RD Dipercaya Sebagai Pelatih Timnas
